The Daughter Project was launched in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2007 out of a desire to organize a grassroots and volunteer-driven effort to protect the thousands of young Nepali girls taken and sold into India each year. We are a sustainable and asset-based approach to the prevention of girl child trafficking and systematic abuse that specifically targets cultural values driving abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
